Mike Monahan, Esq. - Pro Bono Project of the State Bar of Georgia
Mike is the director of the Pro Bono Resource Center of the State Bar of Georgia. In addition to providing pro bono support to programs, Mike coordinates Georgia’s statewide volunteer lawyer support website, www.GeorgiaAdvocates.org, and www.GeorgiaLegalAid.org, the state public interest self-help legal website. His work currently includes developing technology to deliver legal information resources to low-income persons and to provide distance learning opportunities for volunteer lawyers in Georgia. Mike is the staff liaison to the State Bar of Georgia Access to Justice Committee and the State Bar of Georgia Military and Veterans Pro Bono Committee. He is a member of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia, a former advisor to the Supreme Court of Georgia Civil Justice Committee and board member of Lawyers for Equal Justice, a law practice incubator. He received his J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law and holds a B.A. in Spanish from Wheeling Jesuit University and an M.A. in Latin American Literature and Linguistics from West Virginia University.
